Children's Programs

First Annual Friends of the Library Tea Party

The Friends of the Library are excited to invite the children of the Marion Area to their First Annual Tea Party on Saturday April 21 from 2:00 - 3:00. Children are encouraged to dress for the Tea Party and bring a few of their best friends with them; Mom, Grandma, Aunties and of course their favorite doll or teddy. (Boys are welcome too!) There will be games, crafts and of course, tea and cakes. Please call the library today to reserve your spots

Soda Pups Dog Show

The Soda Pups, a troupe of Pomeranian Pups, will delight and amaze children of all ages as they appear at the Marion Public Library. These cute little guys will have the audience laughing and clapping along as they do their little feats of doggy agility and training. A great time for the whole family! Tuesday April 17 from 4:00 - 5:00. Cost: Free A bus will be available from the elementary school with a note from a parent

DDR and Guitar Hero at the Public Library

Think you got what it takes? Are you a Guitar Hero or a Dance Dance Diva? Join us in the lower level of the Marion Public Library to celebrate National Library Month. Grades 3-5 are invited to dance and rock out on Monday April 16 from 3:30 - 5:30 and Grades 6-12 on Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:30. Amaze your friends and win cool stuff! As always, there will be snacks!

Culvers Coloring Contest

The Marion Public Library and Culvers are proud to sponsor a coloring contest for children 10 and younger during National Library Month. Children are invited to draw a picture from their favorite book and bring it back to the library to receive a coupon for a Culvers cone. One lucky child will win a 'Scoops Package' Entry forms are available at the library and are due back by April 30

Teen After School Program

Join us every Tuesday from 3:30 - 5:30 for fun, excitement and laughs. Every Tuesday we will do something new and different. Want to turn an egg into a rubber bouncing ball? How about learn to belly dance? Watch new Anime movies? Draw Manga? How about karaoke? Contact us to sign up or ask questions.
