Meet Our Staff

My name is Trinitie Wilke, I have lived and worked in Marion for the last 18 years. I first worked on a grant through the federal government targeting multigenerational substance abuse prevention and coached girl’s basketball. I was able to meet a lot of wonderful people and settle in nicely to this small town. Six years ago I took the opportunity to apply for the director position at the Marion Public Library. I received a call saying I was hired if I wanted the job. Well, that was one of the best decisions of my life. I have enjoyed all the challenges that being a director brings as well as all the wonderful people I get to meet.

I graduated from Carroll College (University) with a degree in Criminal Justice and psychology. Upon my switch in careers I went back to UW Madison to get my Librarian Certification which I completed in 2010. I have a wonderful husband Jeff and two beautiful children. My hobbies include enjoying time with my family and their activities, playing volleyball, running, traveling and volunteering within the community.

Favorite authors: Nicholas Sparks, Tess Gerritsen, Nora Roberts, Jodi Picoult and Danielle Steel…..When I am not reading children’s books!!

My name is Sharon Stuhr. This is my 29th year of working at the library. I really enjoy working here. One thing I can say is that it isn’t boring. We are continuously learning and doing new things. I enjoy working with the public and meeting the new people that move into our community.
In the past I have enjoyed planning and doing the programs we had at the library.
The children are so special and are fun to work with.

Along the way, I received some education. I took the Basic A50 Library Course. Also, we are continuously being educated though the library system.

I am married to Eugene and have 2 children Brian and Tricia. We also have 3 wonderful grandchildren, Jackson, Brayden, and Brooklyn. One day a week I spend babysitting with our grandchildren. They keep me young.

My hobbies include scrapbooking, riding bicycle, camping and knitting. I also enjoy working out in the yard in summer.

Some of my favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks, LaVyrle Spencer, Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts, and Karen Kingsbury. I do most of my reading at night before I go to bed.

My name is Le Ann Hopp, and I joined the staff at Marion Public Library in April of 2015.

I'm a native of Clintonville; born and raised on a dairy farm, attended Clintonville Public Schools, then attended Marian College (now University).  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching.

After being a teacher for 20 years, I decided to change careers.  I'm so happy to be here, and I look forward to meeting new families here at MPL.  I am excited to share my passion for reading aloud to children and doing activities relating to children's literature.

My husband, Derk, and I have 3 children.  As a family we enjoy the outdoors, especially hunting. I also love reading, crafting, decorating, and being my kids' biggest fans at their sporting events.

My name is Denise Pamperin and I am the adult librarian.  While growing up in Marion, I loved going to the library and reading about places and experiences that I hoped to have in my life.  At a young age, I knew that I could escape the every day by reading a good book!  I love to read to learn, to get lost in a good book and to have that feel good moment when you finish a good book.

I grew up in Marion, graduated from Marion High School, graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh with a business degree in Finance, got married, moved to Milwaukee, then Wausau.  17 years ago, my husband Tom and I moved back to Marion to be closer to our families.  We have 3 wonderful daughters, Kirsten (19), Maddie (17), and Lauren (14).

Previously, I worked part-time at school as a testing coordinator and operated a home-based business for 16 years as a Creative Memories Consultant.   I am a mentor for our youth at my church, lead a weekly bible study and play piano for worship/special services.  I love to golf, scrapbook, play piano, read, spend time with family and friends, and travel.

I love working at the library!  Our library is the heart of our community and being able to help others, encourage reading and offer programs to inspire learning is a joy and a blessing!

I love the ability to get totally and completely lost in a good book, experiencing the emotions of the characters and losing all sense of time.  I have found that if I can't "get into" the book after the first 50 pages, I don't read it and move on to the next one.  A few of my favorite authors are Tracie Peterson, Nora Roberts and James Patterson.  I love mystery/suspense, historical fiction and a little romance in the books that I read.  I love the ability to escape the every day in a good book!

"Good books, like good friends, are few and chosen; the more select, the more enjoyable.” — Louisa May Alcott
